How is KNX different from a Wi-Fi smart home?

KNX is an industrial standard built on a wired bus that works independently of the internet and of any manufacturer's cloud. Unlike Wi-Fi systems (Xiaomi, Tuya), KNX does not depend on a router or on servers abroad, runs reliably for 10–20+ years, and is supported by devices from more than 500 manufacturers worldwide.
Can KNX be added to a finished house after renovation?

Yes, with limits. Without opening the walls you can use the KNX-RF radio extension and fit actuators behind sockets and switches. For a full system the bus should be laid during renovation or construction.
How much does a typical KNX project cost?

An apartment of 60–80 m² from €5,000; a private house of 150–250 m² between €10,000 and €25,000; a villa of 300+ m² with premium automation from €40,000. The exact figure depends on the number of zones, the equipment and the tier you choose (Basic / Standard / Premium).
Which manufacturers' equipment do you use?

The core package uses Italian Ekinex (push-button panels, sensor displays, thermostats, door phones). For premium projects we offer Jung, Gira, Berker, Merten, MDT and Zennio. Every device is interoperable, which is the point of the open KNX standard.
How long do installation and commissioning take?

Design takes 2–4 weeks; laying the bus and fitting devices runs alongside the electrical work and takes 2–6 weeks depending on the size of the property. ETS programming and fine-tuning the scenes take 1–2 weeks after installation.
What does warranty support include?

A 12-month warranty on devices and workmanship. Remote programming over VPN when needed. An annual preventive audit on the Premium tier. A hotline for urgent issues.
Can the house be controlled from a phone?

Yes, on every tier. iOS and Android apps are supported, along with voice control via Google Assistant and Apple HomeKit (through bridges). Remote control over the internet is available.
Do you work in Estonia and outside Riga?

Yes. The head office is in Riga (SIA Virasmart, Vienības gatve 109) and the team travels across Latvia and Estonia. For remote sites, design and programming are partly done remotely.
